What is a "Connect Group"? Minimize

CONNECT GROUPS of Scotts Hill Baptist Church are small groups that are designed to help people connect with others for the purpose of being transformed into fully-devoted followers of Christ.

CONNECT GROUPS are where we focus on relationships, real life issues, and a biblical response to the challenges we face.  Getting connected is essential for healthy, growing Christians.  No matter what your age or marital status, there is a group for you at Scotts Hill Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC.

Mission Statement Minimize

Our Connect Group's mission statement is to reach, encourage and hold accountable young married and engaged couples in order to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to reach others through service.
We are a group of young married and engaged couples in the Wilmington, NC area. The class started out as an engaged/newly married couples class, but we have evolved to a class of married couples who are buying their first homes, having children, etc... Engaged couples, though fewer and fewer, are still welcome!

Where and When?
We meet at 9:30am each Sunday morning in the gym of the Family Life Center at Scotts Hill Baptist church (directions). Church worship services are held at 8:15am, 9:30am and 11am.

About Our Group...
We have a great group of couples who love to get together and have fun! Sunday mornings are fun as we learn how to apply God's Word to our lives. Since we are Baptists, we always have some coffee and pastries/muffins on hand!
Developing personal relationships by frequent interaction is a vital part of our group. We do this by offering the following activities:

  • Bible Study classes other than Sunday mornings
  • Sports leagues
  • Monthly Fellowships
  • Scrapbooking/stamping/cooking classes or parties
